non ci si ferma mai...anche se c'e stata l'alluvione si continua a costruire vicino l'acqua...

there's no stop... even if the flood has created problems they are still doing constructions along the river...

Dalla biblioteca

Questo e' quello che si puo' vedere da una delle finestre della biblioteca in citta'. Il fiume e' ancora marrone. E' passato quasi un mese dall'alluvione...

This is what you can see from one of the windows of the city library. The river is still brown. Almost a month has passed since the flood .....

L'acqua sta scendendo nel garage dove vivevo....ho deciso di cambiare casa con i miei bambini, ma prima devo lasciare pulito. Per mia sfortuna sono caduta nel fango e la macchina fotografica si e' rotta, quindi questa e' l'ultima foto fin quando non ne compro una nuova nei prossimi giorni.

Mi dispiace!! Nuove foto al piu' presto possibile.

Forse per ora prendo in prestito la macchina fotografica di mia figlia.

The water is receding in the garage where I was living...I have decided to change home with my children, but before I have to leave clean. Unfortunately I felt in the mud and my camera got broken, therefore this is my last photo until I buy a new camera in the next few days.

I'm sorry!!! I will post new photos as soon as possible.

Maybe I will borrow my daughter camera for now....

Dopo l'allagamento

L'acqua dal fiume e' arrivata fino all'incrocio di Merthyr Road con Brunswick Street. Tutti i negozi e il supermercato sono stati completamente allagati e diverse strade sono state chiuse dalla polizia per sicurezza.

The water from the river has arrived to the intersection between Merthyr Road and Brunswick Street. All the shops and the supermarket have been completely inundated, therefore several streets have been closed by police for security.

It is not possible to go back for sometime!!!

Along the river yesterday afternoon, when the rain stopped

Oggi siamo tutti sul chi va la'. Hanno detto di non andare in citta' ed evacuare tutte le zone a rischio perche' l'acqua arrivera' nel pomeriggio e tanti posti sono gia' stati sommersi dall'acqua.

Quando potro' andro' a fare altre foto sperando che tutto vada bene!

Today we are on the alert!! They have mentioned to not go in town and to evacuate all the places at risk because the water will come soon and many places are already under water.

I will do new photos when I can, hoping everything will be fine!

Paura di essere sommersi

Siamo in attesa della grande piena! Tutti si stanno preparando alla grande ondata di acqua che potrebbe allagare la citta' di Brisbane come e' accaduto nel 1974, quando l'acqua aveva raggiunto livelli altissimi come si puo' vedere dal palo impiantato nel parco di New Farm non lontano dal City Cat.

Per ora l'acqua e' ancora bassa, ma tutti hanno paura specialmente se vivono vicino al fiume!!!

Anch'io sono scappata da amici!!

We are waiting for the King tide!! Everyone is getting ready ....an enormous amount of water could flood the Brisbane city as it has already happened in 1974, when the water was really high as documented by the wooden stick in the New Farm Park in the proximity of the City Cat.

For now the water is still low, but everyone is frainted especially if in the river proximity!!

I have escaped to friends!!
